Mmm, this doesn’t bug me but I must admit to getting confused every so often because of it. Though, I flat out have trouble with west/left and east/right in general.

I get that it’s not “revolving around the US” since the US wasn’t even known about when this system was devised BUT! why Europe? Technically the “Middle East” is where humanity began, soooo ;D

This … has never bothered me.  In my brain, I’m sitting comfortably in the “west” while China is in the “east”, and Europe is the middle of the world. XD

If you say East/West coast while referring to the US though, you’ll have to bear with me sitting there for a few seconds trying to sort out which side’s which. XD
